Dear guests,
We at Upstalsboom have decided to address you with a cordial DU from now on. Why do we want to do this?
The origins of our company lie in the heart of East Frisia. Today, we have hotel and holiday apartment locations in all coastal regions of northern Germany. Everywhere we speak Low German, also known to many as Plattdüsk or Plattdüüsk. In this charming Low German dialect, we don't differentiate between "Sie" and "Du" - we always greet each other respectfully and speak to each other in a very personal way - using DU.
We would now like to include you as our guests in this cordial interaction. We would like to continue to show you our hospitality in the future with a personal and affectionate form of address.
However, if it does not feel appropriate for you in direct contact, we will of course address you as YOU again.
